I was playing at work with Solidworks and designed a clamp on suppressor mount with pic rail so you can attach a SureFire Scout or similar light.

Programmed my CNC mill up today and made the prototype unit today. Between my cnc and manual mills it took some time but it looks good (least I think) I’m going to see how it looks with a SureFire Scout fits on it tomorrow to see if the offset is good or if it hangs out too far.

The nice thing about this is I can make it work on any diameter suppressor. Just have to make the bore bigger or smaller. This one is made for a 1.4” OD suppressor and I’ll be writing the code for 1.5” and 40mm suppressors.

SureFire used to make these, the M23 and they used a combination of aluminum and steel. I’m thinking 6061 aluminum will be good.

Don’t think heat should be an issue, but it will be interesting to see what it does. I’ll try and post pics of it this evening with a light mounted on it.

I'm curious as to the offet. I have a feeling I will have to deepen the offset in the pic rail section so as to make the light body be closer to the handguard. I don't want to have it hanging out further than it needs to be.
