Right now, this is primarily a project to try and get Hungarian made arms into the hands of the Hungarian Armed Forces. After years of using rehashed and updated AK-47s, the Hungarians adopted the CZ Bren 2 rifle, the Scorpion Evo 3 SMG, and the P07/P09 pistols, and a license to make them from CZ. However, the Hungarian Government wants a family of small arms that they can call their own and not buy "off the shelf", as well as have full control over patents and licenses.

Hence, Gestamen Arms, a private concern that's hoping to license production of their weapons to the Hungarian Gov't. This includes a modular, hammer fired DA/SA modular 9mm Luger/.40 S&W/.45 ACP, an assault rifle in 5.56mm/7.62x39mm, a light machine gun--in both belt fed and mag fed variants--in the same calibers, a 7.62mm NATO battle rifle/DMR and sniper rifle, and a 7.62mm NATO light weight GPMG.

Links with photos, though the articles are either in Hungarian or German:

Interesting--- but nothing like the classic Kassnar imports (SA-85M). ;)
