Questions on the FDE only: :unsure:

1. What is the date on the test casing envelope? (my guess is 12-13-04)
2. Are the original magazines 10-round, or 12-round?
3. Are the magazine body base plates marked, other than HK/.45? (e.g., 10-round "US.Pat.5,568,696", 12-round nothing)

Only picture I have of my brown one.....and a pic of my KI one. I've had 4 black ones, including a KG when they were released. Kept selling them, till we were allowed NFA stuff. Just have my KH package. I think I shot it last....about 5 years ago.100_0962.jpg

Good guess. How’d ‘ja know? 13.12.2004 (euro style)

All 3 are 12-round

All the base plates say HK .45.
One mag is a 12-round LEO mag as marked on the forward edge of the mag.

Here’s the documents that came with the pistol. All are unfilled. Warranty card number is 370953.

I believe I’m the 3rd owner and I think the original owner was our own “frogman”, so he can be happy it’s back in Navy hands, even if only a lowly tin can driver. The LEO mag is puzzling. It might have been an owner swap or maybe HK just tossed in whatever came out of the bin. Any ideas? It is a late ‘04 pistol as per the test cartridge, so maybe just barely post-ban?
