Miss the other site?

There are still some good people over there, hopefully they make the trek over to us.
It amazes me to see a site fall apart because of the lack of quality members and increase of scammers, trolls, and just plain ignorant people.
I visit because of the WTS, but Holy Crap…. It’s turning into GB!

the older/ senior members are pretty fair with their WTS ads. The newer guys have no idea what anything is worth and put it at an ungodly number with a note saying “ trying here before going to GB”.
I don’t know what will happen there but, man, the signs are not pointing in the right direction.

Honestly the moderation is the biggest turn-off about the whole place. I'm probably up around 100k posts on various car and gun forums over the past 20 years and dictatorial moderation is toxic for any site.

This pattern seems to be inevitable.

They made a promise and took over a year to deliver. In The meantime, scammers took members for thousands of dollars collectively, with zero recourse.
The site apparently lost control policing it’s members with general policies and procedures. I think it’s becoming a free for all.
I think it’s sad to see the decline in its principles but I am eternally grateful this site came along and for @AGG to call me the day it went live!
This is what a HK site should be… knowledgeable people (I’m still learning) sharing ideas and their thinking process regarding HK’s and just about everything else!!!

Instead of policing the scammers they put energy into policing the members’ dissent towards the change of format.

And as a result lost quality members.

All said tho, this site doesnt exist because of the format change at the old place that took a year to rectify. This place exists because of how poorly they handled the criticism.

Petulent smalldick heavy handed gestapo style moderation is never the answer. Just look at Twitter’s stock price.
 
I still peep around in the wtb/wts/heads up. I feel like every forum has turned into gb prices. There is so little being actively sold changing hands there’s no real point of reference for current market. So gb is as good as it gets
