...shoots their stuff these days? I go to my FFL's twice a week, but only shoot something that's new...or when I get a bug to "shock people" by running my sear. I'll keep buying ammo, but be judicious in expending it. Going today. I may shoot my Kimber micro or USP40c. A little EDC, if ya will.

I went last week. First time in months. There were 15 or 20 at ranges but not as much noise as usual.

I haven’t gone in a while, but when I do its pretty much my EDC Kimber 1911 Ultra Carry.
One of these days I will probably switch over to USPc .45... I just need a bit more training on it.

Honestly, I got to the point where I was only going to the range when somebody new or interested in the sport needed some orientation. Shooting by myself is like golfing by myself - kind of boring. Because none of these new people have 10's of thousands of rounds squirrelled away - I'm less inclined at the moment. It was easier to be generous at .16 per round ;)

New shooters are waiting in line to buy little baggies of reloads or from broken boxes.

We go every sunday, close group of friends and share ammo between us. I only buy ammo when it is reasonbly priced, Its all a 4 year cycle. I have more than i can pack with me anyway if the SHTF
That makes sense... you can only carry so much. A friend of mine used to have it squirreled away and buried at several properties over a 300 acre area. All he had to do was carry his maps so that he could find them... we dug up ammo from 1986 to check to see if they were any issues! Fun times!!!

I'm still letting people shoot my stuff at a buck a round. These new people need incentive to be active in the hobby. You could die tomorrow, and somebody else will enjoy your ammo, anyways. I let strangers shoot-up 100 rounds of 9mm today.

ok, but what if I don't die tomorrow? I'll be following you around like a puppy dog. I know you can't say no to a puppy dog. 🐶

I have always had a 15 min rule:
Must shoot anything NEW within 15 min of it coming off the Big, Brown, Toy Truck

But must admit, most of my shooting is done with customers.

We'll see. Timing is everything. Politics, future economy, and future legislation look pretty dismal. All the other hobbies are declining........
It started in earnest with Obama's economy, and we're gonna get hit with a Godzilla-Obama type economy. I'm so thankful to be as old as I am. All the old guys have been bailing on collectibles.

I get out to the range at least once a week. I don't do mag dumps, but do work on maintaining muscle memory. I recall Sam Gabbert over at SGAmmo sending out weekly emails a few years back, saying he was selling ammo at or below cost, just to move inventory. He pleaded with customers to buy ammo, while prices were so low. I'm glad I listened to him!
