Spent a long day yesterday in the shop ….the parts came in to start on a PTR 9 “Classic” as well as a POF to convert into an SD-Hybrid. I also had the parts come in for a complete SD build from a flat. Also got in three B&T SD suppressors as well so they can all be used for testing on the guns...
While I was working on some PTR9-SD conversions for fellow forum members today, I decided to dig out an old Special Weapons MP5K receiver I have had laying around for awhile and play around with it…since I had the SD welding jigs kit figured why not.
I had to replace the shelf that was on it as...
Took the day off from the full time job today so I could work in the shop, and finished two more of these conversions. They need test fire, sandblasted and coated then they will be for sale...if anyone is looking. SBR with the original PTR A2 stock and 12" B&T suppressor-$3,950 plus shipping...
I’ve been building HK clone host guns for awhile and shooting the crap out of them to make sure they work and don’t come apart….I’ve also been building them for others as well.
As you can see in the thread in the “HK Clone section” I recently did a conversion gun where I took a PTR 9R-608 (16”...

I have had several people ask if it was something I could or would do, so why not…let’s try it.
This morning I started with a pile of parts and a stock 16” PTR 608 gun…4 hours later I had a fully functional SD SBR…..the worst part was I had to drill out the center of the barrel locking pin to...
I think getting the parts and such to build one MIGHT be a bit tough. Thinking about doing an MG3 just for kicks tho….
It was interesting talking to them. I showed them pics of some projects I’ve done and they loved them. I was honestly shocked they weren’t put off by a guy who is making clones...
Took it out and found the suppressor didn’t hold up so I swapped it out for a SilencerCo Hybrid 46 and that does well. Still tuning it for subs, but it runs 100% on 150 gr ammo. By ear comparison, it’s equal to an 11.5” suppressed AR….not bad for an 8” 30 caliber weapon…
