WTK: How to Solve a HK Interface Claw Mount Fitting Issue

Update - I used a Dremel to grind some of the Aluminum off the bottom of the claw mount. The fit is secure. Scoping the A-3 is now complete.

WTK: How to Solve a HK Interface Claw Mount Fitting Issue

Generally, are these HK claw mounts designed to fit both 91 and 93 receivers? I am disappointed the one I sourced is not fitting my 91 A-3.

WTK: How to Solve a HK Interface Claw Mount Fitting Issue

I don't have a newer HK interface claw mount, only an A.R.M.S. #1 that I was considering selling but I decided to take it off my ad. I tried to unscrew the scope from the HK mount but it seems the Bundeswehr loctited it. It would not budge. I was hoping to get around the hurdle by installing the...

WTK: How to Solve a HK Interface Claw Mount Fitting Issue

Yes, the inner part of the front tab on the top receiver hinders the corresponding unnecessary ridge on the bottom of the claw mount from resting all the way in. I bought a set of files and I am going to file next week a bit off both.

WTK: How to Solve a HK Interface Claw Mount Fitting Issue

Hello. The HK interface claw mount I recently sourced does not allow enough clearance to properly mount the top of neither of my HK91s. It does not align with the y-axis. Both of my rifles are original German HK91s - a 1979 A-1 and 1979 A-3 Surplus Bundeswehr HK interface claw mount (NSN...

WTK: What does the acronyms HJLA and J reference on HK91 barrels?

Anyone has convincing answers to the remaining two questions below? The 17.716" barrels on my 1979 HK91 A-2 and A-3 rifles are factory marked HJLA on one side. I reached out multiple times via email and telephone to HK-USA in Columbus, GA but as in the past no one answers the telephone there or...

WTK: Background information on three-hole HK G3/91 fixed buttstock

Update - A fellow HK enthusiast replied: A.1 The ports on the stock are for organization not retention. A.2 No problem changing the stock legally in the U.S. but stay out of ████ holes like NY and CA. A.3 Doesn't apply because you didn't make/build the rifle. A.4 You would wise to keep spares...

WTK: Background information on three-hole HK G3/91 fixed buttstock

Hello. I have wondered before why some HK G3 fixed buttstocks have three holes. Some say that they are early 1960s HK G3 plastic buttstocks. The three holes have the same internal diameter, which is too large to retain the forearm/trigger group pins. I heard a claim that those three-hole...

WTK: Which sling model was included with HK91 packages?

Although the pictured Estonian solider in Mali, Africa (Nov. 2021) is shown resting his HK G3 rifle on his chest rig in the direction of a left handed shooter, there are several indicators that he is a right-handed shooter, e.g., watch on his left wrist, radio on the right side of his chest rig...
