That’s a look at the finalized setup. The G95A1 really represents the evolution of the HK416 platform and it’s interesting to see how the Bundeswehr refined the configuration after trials. They made some changes, like moving to M-LOK updating the stock and optimizing the weight.
The fact that it was selected to replace the serving G36 shows a lot of confidence, in the design. I think it will be worth watching how the G95A1 performs in service over the next few years. The HK416 platform has really come a way and the G95A1 is a great example of that.
The Bundeswehr clearly put a lot of thought into refining the G95A1. They really worked on making it better. The G95A1 is a rifle and I am excited to see how it does.
