    I'm a liar

Me: "'I'm not buying any more guns until my Corvette project is done" Also Me: " This one doesn't count" I'm weak, LoL

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

Lots of progress over Thanksgiving break. Got the dash dyed and reinstalled and all but two wires underhood are terminated and loomed. Car has battery connected and all of the LED's are functioning beautifully. Man I'm getting excited! Still have about four fuel system fittings to hunt down and...

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

More wiring, and coilovers adjusted. The front needs to settle about another half inch, but otherwise the stance is perfect.

I sure hope it'll be the most fun I can have with my pants on. I've got a shit load of time and money in it so I have high expectations, LoL.

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

I've actually already got the matching ACP/Stahl sidepipes with spiral turbo baffles sitting in a box. I'm 99% sure I can get them under the factory exhaust shields which is what I was going for.

No major updates. Just a buncha' bullshit that would drive me crazy if it wasn't done right the first time. Damn OCD. Got tires mounted and finally got my custom front spinners in from Forgeline. Super impressed with their customer service and willingness to take on a one off project when the...

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

Now for the not so fun stuff. Wiring and tedious bullshit. Pedals are back in, steering column in, LED lights everywhere, Detroit Speed headlight motors as well as their variable speed wiper kits, 100% new wiring front to back, etc. This sucks, LoL

I appreciate that Tony. I was afraid I may have been out of bounds. Not very exciting, but the devil is in the details. Re-wiring the entire car from the fog lights to the taillights and everything in between:

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

Thanks guys. I feel dirty for my absence but I know if I remain active I will spend money. That's just how it goes. Hell, I picked up a dozen date coded MP5 mags and three clamps locally by accident last week. It's really an addiction. LoL

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

Swung by and cussed the wire harness for a while this afternoon. Couldn't resist but to toss a rear wheel on to get an idea how they would look. Once they have tires, it's on the ground, and the coilovers are adjusted she's gonna look beautiful! Pics for enjoyment:

    She's evolving....

My wife told me she had to do some baking when she got home so I was shocked to see a dark house when I pulled in. I heard her making noise when I walked in so I had high hopes for a spousal wrestling match; unfortunately, she was just baking in the dark....

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

I sure hope so. The engine started life as a ZZ502 crate engine that I bought VERY lightly used probably 15 years ago. In January I took it to Smiths Automotive Machine shop in Frankfort and let Butch work his magic. Told him I wanted to run pump gas and make 600hp. He decked the block and...

My other obsession : 1965 Corvette Restoration

It's been a wild ride. The car didn't have a single wrench touch it until January 2021! Thanks! Thanks!

Well, the body is ready to go back on the rolling chassis Saturday. Cross your fingers for me that it goes without incident, LoL

    HK SP89 NIB

I sold a NIB one for $5500 about two years ago if I'm not mistaken. Have another one but don't have the outer cardboard box for the one I kept. Just the Styrofoam, owners manual, and registration card.

4th of July weekend, what are you doing?

It's a really good time. I've got enough neighbors involved that we usually end up with a few thousand dollars worth of fireworks now as well

4th of July weekend, what are you doing?

Having my annual party of course! About 6 years ago my neighbor and I were up drinking in the wee hours of the morning on the 3rd. We formulated a plan to have a party the following day on the fourth. When our wives woke up we told them and they said we were drunken idiots and no one would come...
