I’m still waiting on my UMp clone to show up at my FFL. It should be arriving early next week.

I don’t have a UMP yet, still waiting for mine to show up at the FFL. To each their own, but I definitely wouldn’t consider three mags good to go. I would definitely stock up on mags. I’m still waiting for my UMP and I have already more mags than three.

Seems like the current climate , mags would be a good one .

I have been looking at the US made UMP mags on HKparts.net . These are the gen 2 version. I see a lot of mixed reviews on the gen 1 mags but not the gen 2. Does anyone have experience with them?

I just pulled the trigger on a UMP clone on gunbroker, a Gideon Shadow. Originally I was thinking about an USC and converting it but the shadow was the price of an unconverted USC and its in a pistol configuration. The thought of a USC with 16” barrel made me cringe.

I agree, I wouldn’t let Century do any warranty work. I’d just do it myself. I have more faith in my builds than Century. But if it’s a sub $2k gun I’d definitely buy one.

The G3K is my favorite build. A G3K should use a 93 length cocking tube and handguard. It balances a lot better with the shorter cocking tube etc.

You could be. The house down the street is for sale.

With the right tools and skills, HK builds are easy. I’d definitely pick one up sub $2k. If it ends up needing work, I’d fix it myself.

I definitely agree I wouldn’t let century do warranty work one one. If their price comes below $2000 , I’ll definitely pick one up.

Are you using that trigger housing for 922? I definitely prefer the contoured grip plastic housings.

I definitely will. Century has imported some awesome firearms over the decades. I am weary of firearms Century contracts unnamed builders to make. I just hope the price Atlantic has will come down. At that price I would just buy an HK.
