Nefarious has a complete upper that has a 9” barrel. Shorter than I’d like but with a can, wouldn’t that in theory sorta simulate a longer barrel? And would that 9” barrel even work with the 9” HK slimline handguard? Assuming Im trying to mount a can to the flash hider.

Im unfamiliar with Nefarious. To my (limited) knowledge my options were a Brownell’s 416 clone barrel (of which I cant find on their website) or a genuine 416 barrel (if they’re cross compatible with MR556). Or as suggested here cutting down a MR barrel. How is the Nafarious quality? I take...

Looks like they have one in stock right now. So MR556 complete upper + that hand guard I like + having barrel cut down = what I was looking for.

Good suggestions. Yes I think modifying a MR upper would be nice. Considering it has HK markings and I’d be putting this upper on my MR lower when used.

Im sorta coming to the realization that Im never getting a genuine 416 upper. And a complete Brownel’s clone Im unsure of availability. So if you were looking for a quality 10.5” piston driven upper, and HK & Brownel’s are ruled out - which would y’all suggest?
