I feel better now knowing I said his work was good to go a couple years ago when he did my SP5 to N conversion. I have not spoke to him since then but I am glad it worked out for you.
I wish I could run mine like that you can just tell these guns were not meant for semi auto fire! IMHO.
I would love to have one of these but It is an A5 upper so then have to be marked USMC before serial number and lower M27 etc. I laugh cause the coolest thing I was issued was an A2 times sure have changed for the better It’s good to see.
Looking for one of those BRN-4 clone lowers.
HK416 D marked
PM IM me used or new.
Apologies this was put in wrong thread……..I guess it would be considered a firearm according to some.?????
Thanks
Alright here’s the pics of semi auto bolt 40 S and W and the registered HK TBT converted SBR It used in. Like stated everything’s A OK no movement and is still slightly stubborn to slide into the receiver by itself.
For anyone’s info it cane be done for a small cost on the builders end but as...
Ok gents it has been a couple of months and I now have my SP5 back from Brad at Bahnhof Machine.
I am no expert but I was happy with the whole experience from start to finish.
A couple of things here to say I have a TSC K Navy so I guess one could compare some differences but I have no problems...
I did the get the bolt back and test fired the gun everything worked no bolt rattle it was 110$ shipped from B Ops defense and the turnaround was 2 weeks.
Been real busy I will put up some pics of their work on the bolt.
TB never replied I’m sure due to the T36 work he’s been doing and Dave I...
Ok at this point no reply from TBT through work orders as impatient as I am so sent it more local for milling to B ops Defense I have used them before and they are pretty reliable so it’s on its way to PA. They do conversions from USCs to UMPs so talked to Wes for those of you who are familiar...
Ok I got the 40 cal bolt today and no joy it has to go under the mill in order to slide into receiver so for all who does not know if changing calibers from 45 ACP to a 40 Cal bolt on a USC to UMP conversion it will have to be worked on.
I have a Surefire RC2 and a Knights QDSS NT 4 both on form 4s gun jail at my FFL it has only been about 3 weeks I wish they took a month like Form 1 e file.
Well I have 1K 40 cal ammo so I bought the parts to shoot both calibers. PITA I know Tommy is probably busy doing T36 rec. work to mill a bolt probably at the moment.
Ok I’ve looked at my bolt and tried finding definite answers so here’s my question.
I have a TBT HK USC to UMP 45 acp conversion from Tommy and I just bought a 40 cal bolt barrel spring and mags.
So will the parts kit bolt 40 cal drop into my UMP or will I have to send the bolt off to be...
Ya know I’m content with it but I burn at the fact they didn’t do it right the first time. But it was I guess groundbreaking they did make it again since it hadn’t been done for 30yrs or so.
No regrets here.
BTW my SP5 is now on its way to Florida for the work so I should have a pretty fast turnaround to get it back from him. I also sent a date coded Navy housing that was pretty used for a refurb.
So I will post pics when I get it back for all to see the refinish and remarks.
Thanks
That’s was I was thinking I mean builders are busy and you can’t never have enough good ones to help you.
I cannot say about sear host work etc. but like Mike I’m pretty sure he won’t remove warning labels he will however deep engrave and blacken in to be less noticeable. This was the case with...
