What you describe building IS a PTR91. You aren't offering anything you can't get by buying one and for a lot less money. Good luck with what ever you are shooting for.

While he's right, I've never personally seen an HK civilian type rifle that a surplus HK mount would not snap onto because of problems. The few microns or maybe even a couple thousandths of paint on the gun doesn't make that big of a difference. Rubber/plastic bumper in the way? Saddle...

The HK mounts are steel, not aluminum.

We have Centurylink, too. Good Lord it sucks. Was out for two weeks solid last month. I dropped cable a good number of years ago and haven't looked back. In the next couple of years I'm hoping they run fiber down our road and if they do we are signing on asap.
