For collecting, maybe. For the real world, not unless you have no other choice. It's loud as fuck, when that gas system vents you will know it. "POP!" Fuck that. It's why I sold the M8 I had a factory extended length barrel threaded 1/2x28 installed in by HK-USA after it's first and only trip to the range. I no shit walked in the door, took pics, listed it. Sold offline to Mister Big Koch. This is a few years ago of course.

If you want a squeeze cocker with a can, you want a P7K3 in .22LR, I had one for a while and it was pretty cool. 9mmK the can would need to be too big but I always wondered how 7.65 would set up. Pretty well I think.
