BC date stamp

It gets even better maybe. I think thats a Rhodesian electro penciled serial # on the bolt bottom.IMG_2059.jpeg

I do not see a BC date code stamp--- I see a "Rheinmetall" stamp and 06/66.
I agree on the Rhody electro-stenciling. ;)

i said date stamp BC being short for bolt carrier. Sorry for the confusion.

And it was the 666 i was referring to. Were there German G3s in RA inventory or just parts? I know of all the sanitized Portuguese FMPs that were in use but but wasn’t sure if they also had German manufactured G3s as well.

I believe that it is actually "06/66", or June, 1966. :)
The Rhodesian Army did use the HK G3A3, received from Portugal, but is more recognized as using the Belgian FN FAL (designated the R1--- fully automatic). ;)
