History--- I have seen 1012-1100: 
- scopes/mounts (Dr. Wohler/Kassell/4x7/serial number)(100 total manufactured- 50 per military production contract to Chile, and 50 contract overrun/remainder to private
market)
- Dr. F.A. Wohler Optische Fabriken, 35 Kassel 2, Wolfgangerstrasse 12 West Germany (1920-1968; sold to Christoph Beck & Sohne/CBS in 1968)(“CBS” started by Christoph Beck
on 03-31-1892, became Christoph & Franz Beck, name changed to Christoph Beck & Sohne/CBS in 1944, factory destroyed in 1944, restarted production in 1948, bankruptcy on
07-07-81, and liquidated on 09-30-83); Freidrich A. Wohler
