I am making a high quality G3 clone trying to achieve as close to HK Factory quality as possible. Below is my list of build parts. The receiver and trunnion will be black Cerakote, with a black nitride barrel. I am asking what you think a rifle like this would be worth if I decide to sell it.
Custom G-3 I'm thinking 1800-2200. Too much? Too Little?
New PTR receiver Cerakoted
New Bolt Head complete
New HK Steel trigger housing with trigger pack
New G3 Trunnion by Rim Country Manufacturing.
New Cold Hammer Forged 18" match grade 5/8 threaded Nitride coated Rim Country Manufacturing
New HK flash surpressor
Full Auto bolt carrier
New pins, springs, washers, buffer
Bundeswehr Green furniture
New Tapco 2 sided scope mount, allows you to still use Iron Sights
The rest of the parts are very good to excellent HK Bundeswehr surplus
I appreciate your feedback. If you read this give me an estimate please. I value your opinions.

@cwapp1967 Welcome to the forum. It's tough to get a value. Who rolled the flat, welded up the trunnion and pressed the barrel? @Ghilliebear has one on his site listed for $1800. So without a well-known builder name behind it, I'm guessing $1000 to the right buyer ......... maybe.

I'm building a better rifle than PTR makes, and they sell theirs for 1700. Rim Country probably does the best metal work for HK outside of Germany. I'll sell my PTR and keep the build for myself. My army buddy is a gunsmith who builds custom stuff for a living. He even has is own Cerakote setup in his shop.

Respectfully, the PTR's listed on Gunbroker that actually sell are in the $1000 area. The ones listed for $1600 and $1700 just end and are then relisted over and over. Honestly, it's not a great market for the legacy roller-delayed rifles right now unless it's an HK53 clone.

Just my .02

What you describe building IS a PTR91. You aren't offering anything you can't get by buying one and for a lot less money. Good luck with what ever you are shooting for.
