good morning everyone, I am new here, but not new to HK, at least in the P7 format.... Anyone here have one of Brett's creations yet??? I am currently in line to get one of his new all american aluminum framed optic cut M8 versions.
I understand the optic cut may be somewhat sacreligious, but should be a nice addition to what i already have....
I look forward to the wealth of information here.....
Steve.

@jackpot41 Not really up to date with what P7Pro is doing with the P7's. Maybe you could send him an invite and see if he would be willing to apprise us misfits over here on this site

Didn't want to start a new thread, not sure if there are any hard feelings on the subject / company / person

With that said - I would very much like to get a P7 - but part of me say no - it's not a real HK.

Then I think of all companies out there that make great 1911s or even the AR15 / AR10s

Any thoughts?

I had a P7PSP that was amazing looking and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, I thought it was heavy, even though it was a nice shooter. I never really enjoyed shooting it, but then again I enjoy shooting 1911’s.
I ended up selling it.
They have a huge following, and I encourage people to buy what they like, and shoot what they like.
Personally, I would prefer to carry my MARK23 or a 1911! 😆

I never warmed up to the P7 Series.
I do like 1911's. ;)

I have been toying with spending some $ on a 1911. Looking at the nighthawks for sometime. Problem is I like to see COLT on the slide. Now if I get a 6" barrel (Just because) and COLT doesn't offer such an animal then my mind is at ease.

P7's are heavy. If I pickup a P7 - I prefer new - so I know the history of it and no "gunsmith" has messed with it. Problem is finding a new P7.
