Assuming you meant 35 yards, Are you sure you were shooting that UMP carbine at soda size cans with iron sights and or red dot at 350 yards? That would be some nice shooting if so and not impossible but, the bullet drop on 9mm and 40 cal is over 8ft depending on the loading at that range and a 45 is going to be even more.
