Purportedly, @ 2,000 M82's were manufactured (experimental prototypes with wooden stocks in 1978-1981, with 2,000 production models--- full auto and semi-automatic--- in 1982-1986), with @ 1,000 imported in the U.S. by ODIN International, Ltd. (Alexandria, Virginia).
