I love the wood and recently reworked a G3 stock set for a 9CT. I am partial to wood but still have mixed feelings with these. The best part is being able to pull the pins and go back to match the mood of the day.
I don't like CETME wood in this role. Yours looks well done, congrats. For me, only the HK wood looks right and only if done a certain way.
Unfortunately the piles of cheap HK wood is long since gone and cutting up originals is getting more and more painful. The CETME wood is the next best alternative.
And wood looks best with a steel lower, plastic with plastic.
Looks good, love being able to swap between wood and plastic at a whim. I used Tru-Oil on the ones I did, and it really brought out the wood grain, you might consider that.
