Question for the experts about these beautiful Camo rifles;

Was the furniture just painted or did HK mix a batch of colored resin and mold them special for the program?
(I can totally see them doing that).

The Desert Camo furniture base color is molded in that color; just the olive drab paint is applied over the top. All Desert guns (to include the HK91s) have virtually the same 'VVVV' pattern applied that is nearly identical on every gun. The only area that is prone to 'paint peeling' is the rear of the buttstock as shown below; this area is prone to wear on the Woodland Camo buttstocks too.

Very nice--- and quite the collection of hard-to-find, HK93 desert camo magazines.

Apparently HK contracted a flooring company out of Florida to do the paint in these rifles.

Doubtful. The paint was applied to these guns before they were assembled at the factory and then shipped off to Ulm for proofing; hence the N-cellulous eagle proof mark burned into the barrel. On the HK91, the buffer and recoil rod/spring assy was installed after the paint was applied...
