HK MP5 slim handguard with handstop

Anyone know the history of these? These came off a police kit that I bought. The handstop seems to be factory and it is removable. @AGG hoping you can chime in as well. Thanks!

Appears to be a factory handguard (HJ = 79).
HK transitioned from the slimline forearm to the wide forearm in 1985, though the slimline forearms were available as an option/accessory for several years thereafter.

Tony - thank you! I know the handguard itself is a factory german handguard, but have you seen any with the built in handstop like that? While its removable i was told the handstop came like that straight from the factory

You're welcome--- I have seen early HK53 slimline forearms with the finger stop.

Tony, would it be correct to say the hk53 handstops were more of a flap that connected thru the pushpin? These handstops are little nubs held down by a hex sceew on the bottom of the handguard as opposed to around
