I just bought a true G3S FMP Pars Import for $1,400. (Serial 00218x) I was shocked that I got it so cheaply. I held out for 4 years looking for one as I did not want a PTR clone.

Excellent acquisition and price. 😀
We are equal opportunity G3 fans--- HK-manufacturing is nice, but not mandatory to be appreciated. ;)

I like the PTR but the deal-breaker was that I had to have an original flash hider/threaded barrel. I served in the U.S. Army for 10 years. I spent 2 in Germany and wanted a close as possible G3 style rifle. I was in Germany from 1982-1984. Our French sister-unit has the FAMAS. I do not think I will ever be able to afford one of those, lol. I also served in the Iran-Contra War and saw a lot of FN FAL rifles. The rifles were almost as long as the kids carrying were them were tall.
