I'm contemplating getting the full size SP5. Now I'll have to find those five RAL8000 mags I purchased from HK Webshop several years ago when they first came out (that I paid waaaay too much for).
I promised the wife unit that I'm all done with purchasing guns; still have to figure how to pay for the group buy ODG USP9 Expert and SFP9 OR Match that I've committed to first (without her noticing the pending dip in account funds). She's on to the old ploy 'Oh Look...Squirrel' that has worked in the past; that's what I get for marrying an accountant...

@Tailflash You're in luck! My overpriced RAL8000 MP5 mags are readily available - no need to look for yours. You can have them at cost

No. Did not like it at all.
I, too, prefer black guns.
OD Green would have been better for this firearm in my opinion.
Maybe if you are in Arizona and need to blend in a sand storm, I can see the purpose.

I hate to be the dissenter and I have no tan guns but I would try a lighter tan color.
I had a matt black bolt gun lying in sun for a couple of hours and it got so hot it was hard to hold. (36" bbl) so in all fairness, lots of surface area.
In shade prefer black or OD and I always prefer shade.

The SP5K in RAL8000 is starting to pop up on GB. Hear tell the SP5 RAL8000 will be released later this year.

My problem is that it will eventually look like this example. 'Honest Wear' looks so much better on a black weapon IMO.

That has always been my fear on Cherokee guns.
wear and tear on a black gun adds character.

Well, the wife gave me a break and allowed me to order one of the RAL8000 SP5s from Rooftop Defense. Can't beat the price right now; currently $500 off their list price, plus an additional $30.46 shaved off for recent purchases I had made through them. 3 remaining in inventory as of this posting...
