HK CC9

Well, I picked up a CC9 after all. I couldn't pass up the special discount that Rooftop Defense was giving on these, plus I had like $23 in reward points from a previous purchase through them. I got this a few days after Thanksgiving but haven't had a chance to get to the range yet. Came with a 10 & 12 Rnd magazine and a larger grip backstrap if needed. I'm not much of a Striker fan, but I'm slowly getting used to my VP9 & VP40, so we'll see. Also, not a fan of button mag releases either, but this has a release button on each side, so that's a plus. The front sight glows nicely in the dark. So far, I like it.

Nice acquisition. ;)

You could buy one, shoot it, and if you don't like it… sell it!
I dont think you will take a big loss on it.
There really nice guns and very well tested by HK.
I personally dont care for striker fired and prefer hammer fired and 1911’s, but I think there pretty cool and serve a purpose.
Thanks,
M.

Exactly what I did. 2 mags...sell.

I also have a negative view of stricker fired pistols, however in a small 9 mm pistol for summer carry in a outside belt holster or pocket holster (I have both), I think this is the best choice. I've spent (wasted?) money on a lot of small 9 mm pistols that just don't measure up to the CC9. SIG Sauer P938, P365, Springfield Hellcat, Ruger LCRx (still have), to name some. I am as happy as a pig in mud with the CC9 for warm weather and my H&K 45 Compact for the cooler weather. The CC9 fits into my hand comfortly (much better than the SIG P938, which had saftey issues on both of mine), it's as accurate as any small 9 mm that I've shot (P938 was accurate also). At my age (85+), I have cut back on the number of firearms I own, but my H&K's are keepers.

I bought a used one with the optic, previous owner fired lest than 20 rounds and traded it in, (MLGS) I bet reason he didn't like was the optic it was way off, I almost took it off but started to dial it in and is my EDC now, I don't like to buy used but the CC9s are hard to find around my area.

Sounds like you may have scored a pretty good deal then. Sometimes people move on from compact carry guns quickly just because they don’t fit their hand or shooting style, not because there’s anything wrong with them mechanically. If it barely saw any rounds, that’s even better. I’ve seen a lot of folks compare these against different Sig Sauer carry models lately when looking for something lightweight and easy to conceal. There are some solid options here too if you like comparing setups: https://www.eurooptic.com/sig-sauer S. Curious to hear how it runs for you after a few range trips.

I ran 150 range ammo or FMJs and about 20 Speer gold dots, it ran perfectly, going back to precisely set the optic on it has become my EDC now, and my lower back thanks me every day, I have the Sig 365 never warmed up to it, running it now with WC X grip.
