Call me lockdown bored. It's true.

Started a mission today to find the earliest G3 magazine that I could track down. I started with my own stash first.

Rheinmetall 3/64

Norwegian 2/68

In my war room I still have a stash of unopened surplus magazines. I'm not quite so obsessed as to be ready to tear all the storage packaging open yet, but it's tempting. One magazine was not in the plastic wrap but was still in that brown wrinkled storage paper.

I decided to open that one up and found a NOS unissued FMP magazine dated 6/65. That magazine now has me wondering what else is in the pile. ???

Didn't expect this. A 7/64 Rheinmetall packaged together with a 3/95 HK.

That's it. 10/63 HK and a 2/64 Rheinmetall were the only other notable magazines. No more FMP to be found.

The Rheinmetall I had--- the HK I did not--- that is the latest, HK aluminum manufacturing that I have seen (before G3 HK/ 4/90)--- thanks. 😲

Tony
Oh wow! Moved the needle five years forward. Hadn't thought about that end of the scale.
