Got it yesterday afternoon... thank you @AL903TX , it is in pristine condition as you described.

Really nice gun but man it has a small grip!!!
So I’m thinking a mag extension so i can get more than 2 fingers on the grip... anyone has any they want to get rid of? Or suggestions on where and what to buy?

I noticed the right slide release has a little bit of play... took it apart and think its supposed to be that way especially after I see the spur that slips into the frame cutout and slides down to its seated position..... Is it supposed to be like that? Not a big deal, just curious. The operation is flawless Using both releases.

The trigger sucks, the reset is almost 1/2 travel and feels longer! Any thoughts on addressing this?

IT is a V3 configuration, what are thoughts regarding Condition 1 carry? Is it safe to carry cocked and locked? I’m coming from a Kimber Ultra Carry and no concerns regarding Condition 1 carry on a 1011 platform, just want to know the safest way to carry this one.

any other thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sorry, I couldnt figure out how to rotate pics.
ETA: Fix the pics!

Nice pickup! I love the P2000SK for what it is, a small easily concealed CCW especially in the hot summer months, it disappears for me. Yup, grip is short as intended but you could always use P2000/USPc mags with an X-Grip if you wanted. A P2000 would have been an option too if a longer grip was desired. It’s not a gun I take to the range and put 300 rounds through a session. No issue with controllability using the SK mags for me just took a bit to get used to. I use the flat floorplate not the little pinky nub ones. The right slide release does have a little play, normal. Can’t comment on the V3 trigger, I have a LEM; but I’d bet you could throw a GrayGuns short reset kit in it. It has no safety, so you can’t carry it cocked and locked and I would not recommend carrying it in SA ever. It’s a nice gun, I think overlooked by many but also understand it’s not for all. It’s my favorite SK with the P30SK 2nd and VP9SK last. Again congrats, sweet sidearm!

Awesome piece--- it looks new. ;)

Its in mint condition... I feel bad that I beat up our ”new” member @AL903TX on the “other site... but man he deserved it for being over there! 😂

Great advise... and thanks for the advise on “cocked and locked”, I would imagine thats why it has a heavy trigger pull.
I was thinking of the GG short trigger reset... will have to look into that!

@ENDER that is very nice! I like the blue mag base.
After I shoot the sk I will probably give it to my wife... problem is, I dont think she can manipulate the slide or drop the slide on a fresh mag. She uses a Glock 19c that a bit of work done to it but with the capacity... she doesnt need to swap a mag... i hope!

I can see myself getting the P2000 full size or just say screw it and carry my USPc Stainless.

Congrats!
The P2000SK is my daily carry, but mine is a V1 LEM with a USPc 13-rd mag.

GrayGuns sent me 3 different SRS Kits to do a tutorial on but I never got the time. It's been almost a year and a half now. Just need to find the time.

Excellent. ;)
GrayGuns called me--- they want their kits back. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

So the Grey Ghost kit came in... I will probably have to send it off to get done... dont know if I want to risk doing it.

I finally built up enough courage to in stall the Grey Ghost SRT in my P2000sk today.

It was a piece of cake... I took my time after watching a couple of videos and reading some of @TooSixy guides in the Resource section here.

I also wanted to install a Match Grade Trigger kit in it as well, but chickened out when I realized most of the springs would not work... including the first one I tried... the hammer spring... yes I was warned... yes you were right And you know who you are! 🤣🤣

Overall everything went as smooth as it could And the gun functions are amazingly improved. The reset improved by about 35 to 40% on the low side And possible closer to 45%, but I’m guesstimating just by feel.
The trigger is way smoother, with a wall that breaks crisp in double action... and is just an amazing improvement in single action.

Now... Do I like it???
Yes and no....
Yes because its a lot better than what it was.. smooth all the way through and has a much better reset.
No... because I still compare it to my Kimber 1911 and STI 2011 triggers, which I know is unfair because its a different type of triggers all the way thru.
I just have to shoot it a lot and get used to it... which I will... worst comes to worst, my wife has a new gun and retires her Glock!

Regardless... I’m enjoying feeling like a real “Gunsmith” and cant wait for my next project... A HK416 build! I expect the fail to be big on this one, but I will have fun or go broke doing it!!! ;););)

Thanks,

Nice work. ;)

Congrats! way to go. I sure am glad I don't have any 1911's to compare mine to :ROFLMAO:
Thanks Brother! 95% or more of my training was with 1911’s so I’m comfortable with it and fell in love with the trigger!
Its just a matter of stepping out of my comfort zone and get comfortable with a different trigger and a different type of gun that is just as good or even better.
HK’s are amazing and I feel is the better option once the training aspect has been laid down and committed to muscle memory.
Ill get there eventually... just taking baby steps!
