Thanks buddy. Building is actually relaxing to me. I enjoy it ;) The family headed to the coast for the long weekend. I have to work tomorrow. I get Christmas and New Years day off in it falls during the week and then have to work Saturday to make up for it

I've done quite a bit of parkerizing. The hardness of the steel determines how black it gets. I have never seen this happen before. :oops: the wetness is a water rinse after the acid bath.

The finished product. well, almost. I test fired it. I'ts a little finicky. I think I need to sloppy up the mag fit a little. The mag fits tight up into the magwell. I still don't know if I want to weld the rail on the top. I think I'm going to paint it burnt bronze. What do you guys think about...
