I don’t have any calipers, but your thought is interesting.

    USPc conversions

HK Thread Page 6 of the above thread has a couple of pics of the P2000 9mm in a 40 slide for anyone interested. Like the USPc I commented on above, it a 9mm barrel can be used in a 40S&W slide. Accuracy would need to be checked.

    I acquired my first USP

Gotta love a good trade when they come along, nicely done. Just something about a USP compact. Enjoy it. :)

What HK do you EDC CCW?

I somehow missed this post. I agree. You can accurately fire 16 rounds of 9mm in less time that you can fire 6 rounds of 357 magnum from a revolver. Although I like a good 357 magnum revolver, I'd not carry one anymore. Too many disadvantages. Personally, if I were feeling like a 357 I'd...

Do you carry extra mags when concealed carrying?

Valid reason to have an extra magazine available. Accidents happen. Something could go wrong with the magazine in the pistol. In the event of a malfunction that requires a mag change, it's difficult if you don't actually have one. As I mentioned, carrying a spare mag just became as natural...

    USPc vs. P2000

Just do what I did and get the extra barrels. I love the versatility.

    USPc vs. P2000

It's still a hard choice between the two. Overall, I like the feel of the P2000 better. But I prefer the DA/SA of the USPc better. And just personal preference, I really like the manual safety/de-cocker on the USPc. That's about as safe as a pistol can get. Either would, of course, make an...

Do you carry extra mags when concealed carrying?

There is a thread on another forum where they are talking about Magguts, specifically the new one for the Sig P365. Turns the 10-rounder in a 12-round and the 12-round of course into a 14-rounder. That all sounds great, but too be honest, I've never been much for non-OEM parts other than...

    HK45c

I'd look at either :) Not looking for either in the short term, but it's on the list for down the road.

    Glock

I am by no means a Glock fanboy. And I've been highly critical of Glock in the past on certain aspects. Having said that, I do like the platform for what it is and what it offers. My first Glock was a well used Gen 2 Glock 17 that I purchased used decades ago. I used that pistol to get my...

    USPc vs. P2000

I have both the USPc and P2000. The USPc is DA/SA and the P2000 is V2 DAO. With the USPc I have it in 40S&W, 357sig and 9mm, the P2000 is 40S&W and 357sig. I normally would carry either in 40S&W as it's been a favorite caliber of mine since it came out. Having a hard time really deciding which...

    Hammer-fired or striker-fired

I responded to a post on another forum where the OP had monkeyed around with his Glock and now it was unreliable. Wondering if it was the aftermarket parts. Duh  So I went into my normal response that beyond a few exceptions like sights and the enhanced paddle mag release on HK...

    Hammer-fired or striker-fired

Thread on another forum today asking how to lighten the trigger on a stock Glock 21 for HD. The stock trigger on a G21 is around 6.2 lbs. So my first question to the OP is 'why would you need to lessen a 6.2 lbs trigger pull for HD'. And that's what I see from folks that in all likelihood...

Where is all the P2000 love?

I have to say that as much as I like my USPc, and I do, the P2000 just feels more comfortable in my hand. Not that the USPc doesn't feel comfortable, just that the P2000 feels more comfortable. Really liking it :)

    P30sk vs. VP9sk vs. P2000sk

Well that's interesting and unique. I'm going to assume that it functions without issue? With how good the P2000 feels I have no doubt the sk version would be fantastic as well. And 40S&W is a big plus :)
