What HK do you EDC CCW?

Which do you prefer? What are the differences between the two?

    P30sk vs. VP9sk vs. P2000sk

That's what makes it very attractive to me. Having one in all three calibers would really be nice.

Paddle or Button - opinions on VP9 mag release?

I actually think that the button is a step backwards for the reason I stated above i.e. the ability to use it with either hand. That is a tactical consideration that, to me, is substantial and often overlooked.

    USP 45 and 45 Super

Right next to the box of 9mm 😁

    USP 45 and 45 Super

This thread may be of interest in regards to using the HK USP 45 as a woods pistol. Why you should be armed in the woods/wilderness On page 4 is a link to an article on Ammoland that was updated over the last couple of years. I found it very interesting the number of times the 45acp was used...

Where is all the P2000 love?

Very nice. I have not had the opportunity to shoot the P2000sk but if it's anything like my P2000 I'm sure I'd very much like it. I see they're in 357sig. Mine is in 40S&W but also has the HK 357sig barrel and I find it actually very pleasant to shoot. With 40S&W as well so I've just been...

Three model comparison in 40 S&W

I've never owned or handled the P2000sk but I've had four different P30sk's. A V1LEM, and three V3's (one with MS). Extremely comfortable in the hand. Same size as a Glock 26. Excellent sub-compact pistols and balls-on accurate.

    What was your first HK?

IIRC, my first HK was a P30sk V1LEM. Very nice pistol and I actually carried it as my official off-duty carry for a while. That was one smoooooth trigger pull on that little beauty!

What HK do you EDC CCW?

Do you find a lot of hot gases or particulates being ejected through the ports when firing? If you've done any night firing, how well does it work i.e. any flash through the porting? My concern with porting a SD pistol is having to shoot it at less than arms length below the line of sight...

Three model comparison in 40 S&W

One of these days I may get another P30 (traded the other one). But I'm no longer in a hot hurry for one after doing this comparison. Nothing wrong with the P30, I just didn't realize it was the largest of the three. And after feeling how comfortable the P2000 is in the hand I'm not really in...

What HK do you EDC CCW?

Yep, love a 45acp pistol! We carried Glock 21's my last 15+ years and it has an excellent track record (both the caliber and the pistol). Really like my USP 45 and the HK45c is on my short list. :) And while researching 45 Super I looked at a lot of videos by Chuke's Outdoor's Adventures in...

What HK do you EDC CCW?

My personal preference is 40 S&W. I have to insert a caveat though, in my experience, there is really no difference in terminal ballistics between the service calibers. I'm not a proponent of 'energy', rather penetration and expansion are the two key factors after reliability. There are small...

What HK do you EDC CCW?

Excellent choice. I actually got my USPc as a 9mm. A seller on Armslist had a complete 40 S&W slide for sale so I purchased it. Simple slide change is all that was needed to make it a 40 S&W. Then I purchased a 357sig barrel from RCM to make it a 3-in-1 platform. Big thumbs up all the way...

What HK do you EDC CCW?

Which HK do you carry as your EDC? Why did you choose it and why that caliber? For me, if I'm going to carry one of my HK's it would either be my USPc in 40 S&W or P2000 in 40 S&W. Right now I lean towards the P2000. It is lighter than the USPc and feel great in my hand. While I don't...

Nope, get one and blame it on peer pressure

Where is all the P2000 love?

 Don't get me wrong, I like Glock just fine. Particularly the 19X (I have three) and my G22.4 (with both 40 S&W and 9mm barrels). And when I found out that they were making a Gen 5 Glock 23 I was like 'sign me up'. I use to carry a Gen 3 G23 and liked it except for the finger grooves...

Where is all the P2000 love?

First post on pg 6 shows a 9mm barrel in a 40 slide (P2000). If the USPc barrels are the same as the P2000 barrels (?) then it would work but accuracy may be a bit suspect. In regards to Gen 5 Glock 23 vs. P2000 40 S&W: Gen 5 Glock 23 w/loaded magazine is 34.36 ounces. 7.85 inches in...

Where is all the P2000 love?

Yep, that is the HK 357sig barrel that came with the pistol. May look into a 9mm conversion barrel ‘just because’. But yeah, handling it this afternoon really made me want to carry this one a bit and take it to a match.

Where is all the P2000 love?

While my son and I were going over some gun stuff this afternoon I pulled out the HK P2000 40 S&W (pictured above). It had been a while since I held it. Wow! I had forgotten how good that pistol felt in the hand. It just doesn't look like it would be that comfortable but there is something...

Three model comparison in 40 S&W

For comparison, Glock 19.5FS which weighs 30.16 ounces loaded with 15 rounds. Figure 30.5 ounces with a full 15+1 rounds. A 40 S&W weights about .6 of an ounce (17 grams) whereas a 9mm is about .45 of an ounce (14 grams). This is a ballpark figure on average. So USPc40 with 12+1 would...
