Can you tell I love German engineering?

Holy crap! That's beautiful.
Love old Benz wagons. Nothing like them!
Yup, they were tanks. I had an ‘83 240D; kept it 13 years and had 240k miles w/ original engine & trans.
Loved that car - roomy and you couldn’t get it stuck in the winter with the low gearing.
You also had time to have a smoke and eat lunch while merging on an on-ramp.
Didn’t need a stopwatch for 0-60 times, I used a calendar!

Beautiful Classic for sure, ever since as a kid growing up always loved the roadsters SL 380, SEL 500 etc from the same '80s era. Stout German engineering + nostalgia... now they all look like very contemporary Jap cars...

Nice. Love the mid 80s Mercedes. The “AMG hammer” brings back memories. I bought the service manuals for the w123 chassis. Wanted the coupe or the wagon. Maybe like HK’s. Just get both. My dad had a 56 or 57 190sl. I would ride in the luggage area behind the front seats. Who needs seatbelts. Or a seat for that matter.

So our wagon doesn't get lonely, we have an '80 300SD and a '16 Smart Passion 5-speed manual (Daimler AG built the Smarts).

Ausgezeichnet Bilder! Great family!

Unfortunately, my most recent Mercedes was manufactured in Alabama instead of Sindelfingen/Stuttgart (W124 x2, GLK, GLE350)

My R1200C Montana (sans bags)

Deutschen Gewehre und Pistolen, deutsches Bier und deutsche Motorräder.
