My 8 year old granddaughter loves to draw on my i pad… a real artist and Uber creative.
She drew me a pic of my 1911 with a colorful background with the words “I Love You Grandpa”!!!
I was touched, but another kid in her class got in trouble for a similar drawing a week or so later.
We had to talk to her to not do drawings like that at school. How do You make an 8 year old understand that… and that She didnt do anything wrong???
Sad world we live in…. And yes, … my granddaughters are well educated about what to do and NOT do when they encounter a firearm that for whatever reason is unattended (not that it ever is), or if they even see one… they know its purpose and that it is not open for interpretation at this point in their lives. They also know that Grandpa will teach them to shoot!

No Joke, We learned to shoot guns at our middle school in the basement we had range for hunter safety coarse 22lr, good luck finding that these days. It was a good thing. We also had a pretty sweet Fallout Shelter

Growing up in NYC, we didnt have the opportunity to learn to shoot… but I do remember the fallout shelters!!!
