Picked up a CC9 today, so far a pretty nice gun initial shots were very nice and the recoil is comparable to that of a USP 9 compact for me personally, maybe something smaller but it's a great shooter nonetheless. I think it's going to be my new summer carry and for me personally it's quite a bit nicer than comparable guns like the P365, S&W, Tarus, etc... The size is comparable to a P365X so it's a little bigger than a 365 in vertical grip height and length but it's pretty similar to the P365X.

I ordered my holster from anr kydex holsters but it's not here yet so I'll probably make a little update whenever it does get here on how that's working. I know there's at least one other company that makes a holster for it and G-code is working on a holster for it so those may be worth looking into as well.

The 10 round magazines for the gun have some denial tab towards the bottom of the magazine to prevent more than 10 rounds going into the magazine so I just hammered that flat again. I can now get 11 rounds into the mag by hand and 12 rounds into the mag with a mag-lula but it's also a different spring so maybe it'll wear in with time and it's a free 12 round mag, if not then it'll sit on a shelf so no biggie.

All in all, pretty sweet little pistol. Wondering if anyone else picked one up yet and has any thoughts or experience?

@CSWiener Congrats on the pickup and thanks for the first impressions. I'll get one when the dust settles. Will you put an optic on it?
I probably will but not with too much haste, I've fired one with a meprolight optic on it before and it was pretty good but in terms of optics on pistols. I'm just a bit of a boomer when it comes to pistol optics and prefer my irons usually.

Optics are for sniper rifles. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My experience mirrored yours, I think it is a fantastic little pistol and definitely HK quality. I admit when I first saw it in pictures, I wasn't impressed, but when my FFL called and told me they had one I knew I wanted it once it was in-hand. Don't be turned off by the different aesthetic or the lack of a paddle release, this is 100% HK quality in a micro-compact. I did a range report but I won't post it all here and hijack the thread. Here's mine after the first 100 rounds.

As soon as I can locate one locally or from a member, I’m getting one or two.
Pretty excited to try it out. It’s been a long wait.

I have refrained from commenting so far but I just have to say I absolutely hate that glock trigger.

/rant.

I generally hate all striker pistols. I'm picking mine up today. I'm also pretty sure I'll have it for sale, soon.

I wish HK had at least modeled this gun after the USP compact - it doesn't even look like an HK.
But I should refrain from whining otherwise we begin to sound like the other site...lol

What would be a great reason to replace / add to a daily rotation of a P2000SK with a CC9? I only use iron sights, and am not a super fan of a striker fired pistol (except a P7). But always have an itch for something HK that is new.

Physical comparison of the 2 pistols (P2000SK & CC9)

The ability to criticize is what makes this site different than the other. ;)
No originality and poor quality in new manufacturing. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I’m on the fence about the new CC9 and waiting for more forum members to share their experience before really looking at one to purchase. I rotate a P2000 in the fall/winter and Sig P938 in spring/summer. I’ve been really itching to replace the Sig P938 which I’ve had since they first came out.

8 years of production, over 750k rounds fired. Sub compact, 1” thick, 9mm capable of +p.
Biggest drawback for me is striker fired.
I have one on order… will I ever fire it… maybe… will I ever carry it… I like my 1911’s and my P2000sk, so probably not… but Im very sure it will perform the way it should.

I have one VP9 that my kids shoot more than I and they love it.

Im not knocking you, Im just saying…. Being on the fence with a tested firearm as much as this one has been, and the fact thats its a HK… should alleviate “most ” of your concerns.
Nice thing is… if you dont like it… you can sell it!

Maybe my wife will like it and all my problems will be solved. 😆

Good luck in your decision and lets us know what you decide!

Maybe you can do a Wilson Combat stipple job to make it look more middle class.

I've loaded the 12 round mag a couple times. It feels like it holds 10. First dislike.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
I have my Shield AMSc for it, but I'm waiting for an orphan Torx bit to arrive, to mount it.
