There was a used one in mint condition that sold about a year and half ago for $23k. There was also two new ones that sold back in 2019 or 2020 for $29k each. It will certainly be interesting to see what it sells for.

Yikes! Over $29K for a pistol and just a few years ago everyone was freaking out that transferable sears were about to break the $30K mark... I'd cringe at the taxes alone that I'd have to pay (courtesy of GB policy now)...
That barrel threading is different for suppressors; what's up with that?

The “SD” means special defense. These were used with surpressors and the windshield adapters that allow one to accurately shoot through glass. HK used a 13.5 by 1 LH thread pattern because allows the barrel wall to be thicker than a 1/2 by 28. This ensured that the surprssor is properly supported and is less likely to break off when dropped like a standard 1/2 by 28. Her is a picture of the windshield adapter.

Thanks for sharing. Very interesting concept (windshield adapter). I presume these were meant for use with laminated glass (otherwise why not just shoot through the glass?). Even with the ball joint in the adapter would only allow for a minimum field of fire. Still quite innovative for its time. It’s interesting to look back at all the innovative engineering of days gone by. Kinda reminds me of the MP5K briefcase and the GIGN 357 sniper revolver. I had a friend who worked PSD in Germany in the 1980’s-1990’s who told me how much they liked the briefcase setup and how accurate they got with it.

New record for a factory P7M13SD, but a long ways off from being the most expensive P7 series pistol.
