If/When the ATF modifies the import requirements expect a full blown panic on the H&K SP5 series. It will make $4,000 look cheap for them. I keep hearing that's coming, from plugged in guys. It's a no brainer for Sleepy Joe. Much easier than getting gun control through the Senate, and an easy win for the Biden admin with their base at very little political cost.
