The idea of being able to use double stack mags, along with the bolt carrier group and some other furniture on it made me think I needed the -4 version.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO IMPORT AN SL8-4.

The SL8-4 has been illegal to import since before it was created.

You can build a -4 at all is because you replace enough parts that the gun is considered remanufactured as US made gun, not subject to import bans and associated laws governing imported guns.
