HK SP5 Parts Replacement Schedule

Is there an established schedule for parts/spring replacement for the SP5? I mostly shoot suppressed and typically keep a log of round count.

I’m hoping to understand if there is a guideline for service life of parts such as the recoil spring, etc.

I've never seen an official guideline, but consensus is 100,000 rounds on the barrel, 20,000 rounds on the recoil spring and 1000 rounds on the extractor spring.

Your mileage may vary, let us know how it goes

Thank you! That’s surprisingly low for the extractor spring. I’m over 3k on my original but will get it replaced asap.

That's just internet heresay - don't fix what ain't broken. Have some on hand though.
