This apparently just got posted yesterday, but there's some photos here of the HK416 in service with the Luxembourg Army, who adopted it to replace their Steyr AUGs, which previously replaced FN FALs, FN-49s and Uzi SMGs. It seems that the actual service 416s will have full-length handgaruds, while the shorter handguards will be used for color guard duty since they allow fitting the "long" rifle versions with bayonets.
