This is from the FAL Files, which is a forum about FN FALs and other FN firearms (though their forum has a section dedicated to HK and various other firearms). The guy who took the photos and did the write up for the post is a Belgian Army officer who is currently a reservist and instructor for firearms and paratroopers, and a big firearms collector.
He took the photos of the 416F after he purchased the firearms reference collection from Mecar, a Belgian ammo company who makes rifle grenades, 40mm grenades and other munitions. The 416 is part of their firearms reference collection where it was retired to (in working condition) after testing rifle grenades (a feature of the 416F models is being optimized to fire rifle grenades per the French Army's RFP).
The poster isn't the biggest HK guy (being Belgian and from the Belgian Army, he's obviously a big FN guy, though he owns quite a few MP5s and loves them), but he has no hesitation to say that in his opinion that the 416 is more than worthy of respect and admiration, and it for sure in his opinion is far superior to the FN SCAR.

Hi there, I managed to get my hands on the Belgian MECAR ammo factory reference collection. Out of the 180+ items i got some 40 full auto's out. A bit odd in my collection but so nice to have item is this well made HK416. It came with some other nice rare stuff. I'll post all of m in the near...
