HK93A2 (Triple Tree Replaced)

Interesting. That's a full length 93 barrel, definitely not a HK33 barrel. If barrel was changed, then someone must have added a grenade ring sight or perhaps just this type of sight was added to the original barrel. 'Sure would like to see the markings on the barrel.

Grenade Ring on HK93? Bonus

I’ll add that that seems to have left Oberndorf in the A3 configuration as well. Interesting and a good price as well.

Ah, I believe you may be right; some wear marks there and the finish seems a bit off. Nice price though...

the thing is I was going by the serial#. I read somewhere that at a certain time frame the second digit is the configuration. Of the four 93s I have one A2 and three A3s all original and nothing newer than IC date code the second digit matches the stock configuration so…. But then I have two early Saco import 91s with the second digit being a four and both are original A2s so..

Somebody makes a grenade ring for the 33/93 guns, I had one for the C93 I had. It's designed to be press fit over the barrel in front of the triple frame. Once pressed on the barrel can be painted and it looks original. Not sure if I still have that part or if I let it go with the rifle. Maybe this rifle has one of those installed.
BTW, the grenade ring is part of the triple frame, not the barrel. Having that ring doesn't necessarily mean the barrel has been replaced but possibly the front sight.

You are correct--- I had forgotten about that. :)
Looking closer at the triple tree configuration, this seems to be the case--- post revised--- thanks. ;)
