HK94A3 NIB KB (1991)

Yikes!! $14K? Can't even give it an all-German MP5 SBR upgrade (that all HK94s deserve) without some 922r issue mucking it all up. Regardless, very nice (and rare) 94 though...
 
:unsure: KB code? With a barrel shroud? Too bad it's not 'ultra-rare', I might be interested. :cool:

A little history: :)

- CA. DOC ordered 420 in 1990/1991, and HK USA retained 110
- 1991 mfg. (KB) with the newer barrels with 16-flute chambers, “Action 3” bolt heads, and “circular” apertures , and A3 stocks from DOC for dealer sales in the U.S. (distributors- DSA, R-Guns)
- CA. DOC returned 310 to HK USA in 2004 for resale

This sample appears mostly complete--- what should come with a NIB (KB): ;)

1. 1-30rd. mag. (in red butcher paper),
2. HK94 red manual (in plastic)
3. clear plastic gun sleeve
4. outer cardboard box SN’ed (stamped on the end) to the rifle
5. inner styrofoam box (2-piece)
6. test target (may or may not have)

I've always understood that since they were not imported for "sporting purposes" (since they were imported for the California DOC) they don't fall under 922r. Similar to the current situation with Benelli M4's. The guns imported for general civilian sale are compliant, but guns imported for LEO are not. Overruns that are not purchased by the agencies are sold off without 922R concern.

Regardless, 922r is a silly thing to comply with.

I've got a DOJ KB HK94 that is now an SD, but it looked like it had been dragged behind a car when I got it. I don't think I could chop this one.

I believe that you are correct, as being exempted (?) from 922(r). :unsure:
Agreed--- not many KB, non-DOC rifles--- especially one in this condition. ;)

I bought one, and didn't even know it was rare. Just wanted a mint 94. I WAS gonna make a MP5 out of it.
 
If I didn't have a clone to beat on, that's what I bought it for. I don't have to have German sear hosts. If I did, I wouldn't have sold the Brit 33K parts kit.

If the clone breaks....no problem. I had a local guy offer me a grand for the stock. He's building a German MP5.
