I don't understand all this shipping BS

The UPS hubs are famous for firearms theft. They hire local, unskilled, dregs to work the package conveyors and load/unload trucks. My FFL won't ship handguns with them. He's lost many over the years......coming and going. He mostly ships with his business name, not his store name.

As for my incoming pkg,.. Package was 54”x16”x7” and weighs 40 lb. Should be noticed.

None of the many firearms missing thru shippers, ever seem to be newsworthy. If a retailer or individual has firearms issues....that's important.

I always ship fully insured but what a nightmare if you ever have a claim, I mean for f*ucks sake how could you even get someone on the phone? Its near impossible
 
You have to go to a depot, hub, or PO.....and demand service. Been thru that too.
 
I had a P7M8 coming home from James at TT in NC (many moons ago) totally disappear off of UPS’ radar only to show up in Hawaii. I do not live in Hawaii.

I’m currently waiting for a HK91 for which I paid way too much and it’s been somewhere between WV and here (hopefully) for over a week.

I’ve heard it said that one of the hallmarks of a stable country is reliable mail service. Well...
 
I’ve pretty much held off shipping anything of importance. Couple months ago I called SIG for an updated recoil spring. CS said since it’s an updated part they can’t sell it to me, but if I send them the pistol so they can go trough it they will update the recoil spring and any other parts. I send it in and 2 weeks later I get a tracking with email that it’s coming back. Checked the tracking and notice that it’s being sent to an old address. Call them immediately and tell them they put the wrong address on the return. They put me on hold for a bit and then come back and say it’s already picked up but they called FedEx to return the package. Next day I track the package and it shows in transit so I call again to double check that’s it’s being returned. Was assured they talked to FedEx and it wasn’t being delivered. Following day I check and it’s out for delivery. Next thing I know I get a call from my old neighbor. Said FedEx left it at the door with no signature. Because of Covid they just use the name that’s on the box and scribble in your name. Saw this first hand when Trijicon returned my ACOG and I waited for it at home. Also order parts for my SCAR from PMM. Got an email on 12/28 they shipped. Tracking still shows awaiting pickup. Stories keep going... wife order some makeup in December that never showed. She called and they sent her a new order that arrived in 3 days. Last Monday the order from early December arrived. Both from the same place but one was a month late
