Sad. I hate seeing all these great communities continue to get gobbled up by advertising firms that don't give a shit about anything but selling information. I've seen MANY great forums over the past 10+ years be destroyed by this process, it's a proven formula at this point.

It seems to be "big business" to acquire long existing forums and stuff them with unrelated commercial advertising my favorite "TW200" motorcycle forum got commercialized after a great 15 year run it's now a forum I visit every 3 months instead of 10 times a day

It's about destroying people having thoughts to be shared. Sell product, destroy thoughts. yellowbullet.com was a great and completely un-moderated drag-racing site for years. The owner sold it....and it's a shit-show, now.

Yep, and I won’t be a part of it. My HKPro account, after 5 years of being a member, was banned at my request. We have got to start resisting this conglomerate strategy to control all speech. As if having to deal with Twitter, Facebook, and Google isn’t bad enough already.
