Something midrange. Not cheap but doesn't have to be the nicest available.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

If you hadn't specified digital I would have said Starrett, but for digital.......I am still using the one I bought for $6 in Saigon/HCMC in 2006. I'm gonna say almost anything is good, just keep an eye on the zero and do 3 measurements like they teach in school and you should be good.

I've had 3 pair of their calipers. I ran over one, second got stolen, and the third set are my go-to for almost anything I need precise measurements for.

I found that exact Mitutoyo for 80 bucks from a 3rd party seller at Walmart.

Thanks for the input

@Crash Thanks for the Walmart link; exactly what I needed. Time for me to upgrade to a digital caliper. Think I've been using my old cheap dial calipers around 30 years, and yes, I still have a set of vernier calipers that I sometimes go back to just so I can reactivate those old brain cells that can still remember how to read the vernier line scale out to a thousandth of an inch. I can just see Gen Z folks now searching what a vernier caliper is... Ha!

Think I may have an old slide rule calculator buried somewhere... Sheesh.

Good review at the below link on the Mitutoyo dial calculator:

I was just behind the slide rule era but have a "Pickett 902-T" that a long gone older brother used sitting right behind me on a bookshelf

Good memories!

Glad the link helped
