Had to pick one of these 'Braun' frames from 'The Attic' on GB back in November. Have yet to take it to the range; never fired a HK45 before. Came with two 10-Rnd Mags; are these the same as USP45 mags?
And yes, I'm aware that HK USA won't honor the warranty on these ...

Most excellent--- you probably won't ever use a warranty anyway--- and it's the German model.

Is this a P210-5, stamped only as "P210" since it is an early model?

Thanks! Actually, the opposite. it is a very late model. The very last model made in Switzerland. 6 digit serial. It is a P210-6S Heavy Frame. One of only 200 made before P210 production stopped in Switzerland. Has American style mag release, and no magazine disconnect safety.

Excellent--- I have seen only a handful of the P210-6S Heavy Frame.

I really like the Swiss SIG 210's. They're a beautiful firearm, from the days of pride in manufacturing. I had a 210-2 that was NIB. It only got 3-4 mags thru it decades ago. It hammer-bit me, something fierce. So it layed-around till a friend "had to have it".

P210s are great guns but hammer bite can be a problem. Wood grips would get me. Plastic did not.

Agreed. What's nice is that the P210-6S has a just barely noticeable extended beavertail (Not nearly as much as the german Legend, or the American model) which makes hammer bite impossible.
