Moskva Flag Ship

Sir,
First off, as bad as I hate t say this, you and I must have served our nation in different generations. Second, let me say that ANYthing going on in Ukraine and Russia should be of no concern of ours (Americans). Ukraine and Russia are BOTH corrupt as all get out, almost as corrupt as the politicians we currently have in office.

Now, I won’t try to change your beliefs of what’s going on in Ukraine, mostly because I served as a grunt to protect your freedom of opinion. That doesn’t mean that I say you are correct, it just means you have the right to believe what you want to believe.
Okay will say that I wholeheartedly disagree with your points, especially regarding flight MH17.
The route to get a BUK missile into the DPR from Russia have been structurally investigated and found that there are ZERO, bridges that could carry the load of a BUK missile truck that weighs 45+ tons, (over 90,000 lbs) considering the highest capacity bridge is only 35 tons (70,000 lbs). A structural engineer has verified that none of the bridges coming into the DPR could support 45 tons.

Anyway, If I have offended anybody in my discussion, I apologize but, I will not change my mind on the way I feel about the Nazi criminals in charge of Ukraine. While at the same time, I will say that the US has as many, if not more commies actively involved in our government as you are accusing Russia of.

Have a good Day Lamont.
You aren't the only grunt in the house. I don't play that "I served for this or that reason " stuff because it's retroactive BS, none of us thought that way when we were 18 and signing that check. 17 in my case.

Different generations.....don't know when you served. Or where. I was in West Berlin from 1978-80 dealing with the Russians you are so understanding of., I earned a STASI file there (got a copy of it from the BStU Archives in Berlin in 2005) and met the wife who sleeps at the end of the hall as I write this. I'm deeper into dealing with those dudes than anyone who ever served anywhere else, unless you were Embassy Security in Moscow, that's sort of the thing about West Berlin. Ask anyone.

No one said it came from Russia, if you will actually read the entry instead of sounding off with some stuff you think proves your preselected point you will realize the missile system was already there AND I actually quoted that gouge in the post, so you didn't even HAVE to read to entry to know it. It came from a Ukrainian unit that went over to the Russians. So all that stuff about bridges is irrelevant, except for deceiving people who don't do their research, who like clever arguments. Or enough of it, because after all, "much good work is lost for want of a little more".

No offense taken brother. You are right that both sides have their issues, that why I'm on the side of the folks who are civilians being slaughtered by an actual Army. IDGAF about the rest of it, like ANY of that justifies what is being done. I'll tell you this, for me it's been highly instructive as to who has their fucking head screwed in straight and who doesn't. Every argument, fact, whatever, that people can come up with as far as why this is OK, or Putin was provoked, or WHATEVER......in the face of this slaughter.....these are people who I want to see repeat those opinions when their kid comes home in a bag marked "Remains, Human, Non-Viewable". Because that is the eventual outcome of this. If you think the Globalists are going to let this get solved by the EU/NATO countries by themselves with us getting dragged into it, you are dreaming. They are called Globalists for a reason.

As far as Nazi's go, I don't see you responding to those pics I posted. Doesn't fit your narrative perhaps. There's a lot of that going around these days.

Thanks for the in-depth reply Lamont.

What about the pics you posted? Of the Nazi tattooed guy?
He’s Russian? Hmmm.

As far as us serving in different generations, we actually served in the same era. I enlisted in the Marines on 24 August 1974 and separated after two four year enlistments on 15 July 1982.

When we were both serving our nation, the USSR was our sworn enemy that we trained everyday to defeat. I do not support communism or nazism in ANY form. My father and grandfather both fought in WWII against Nazi Germany. My brother sacrificed his life in January 1968 in RVN fighting communists. He was a 2nd Lt. in the 1st Cav. He had been in country for 3 1/2 months when he and 7 others in his platoon were killed by the communist NVA during the Tet Offensive.

Now, I don’t support Russia or Putin but I don’t support corrupt governments, even ours either.
I don’t have the “qualifications” that you evidently acquired while serving in Berlin in ‘78-‘80, I was just an E4 serving as 0331 (machine gunner) with the 1st Bn. 9th Marines in Okinawa and the West Pac at that time. I was only in Europe for 6 weeks while participating in cold weather warfare training ops in Norway.

I have in fact done a lot of research on the Ukraine and it’s political standings. In 2013, there was a coup that tossed out the duly elected president who supported Russia. It was in early 2014 when the Azov Bn was incorporated into the Ukrainian military. They were then turned on the people of eastern Ukraine (the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts) that refused to accept the new president that was installed into that position.
I can’t and won’t ever support Ukraine as it is today. It is my opinion, from what I’ve heard why Russia invaded Ukraine, was to push the Nazi Azov’s out of the Donbas Region who had been shelling the Russian speaking citizens of the region.

Donbas separated from Ukraine back in 2014 after the coup. Russia finally recognized the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts as independent States in early February of this year. The Russian Parliament sent correspondence to the Ukraine government stating that they would attack if the Ukrainian military didn’t stop shelling civilians in the Donbas.
Ukraine didn’t heed Russia’s warning which led to the Russian invasion in late February.

Now, do I trust Russia or Putin? NO. But I don’t trust our leadership either after the bullshit we’ve went through with the stolen presidential election and to CV19 BS.

Ukraine is just as guilty as Russia. They BOTH have major issues and I will say that we Americans don’t need to get ourselves involved. As a matter of fact, I believe the whole thing is an NWO ploy to kick off WWIII and their great reset.

When you have a few minutes, check out Patrick Lancaster on YouTube. Patrick is a US Navy veteran who has been an on the ground, independent journalist in Ukraine since 2014. Listen to what the civilians he interviews have to say regarding who is shelling them.

Anyway, I’ve enjoyed our debate.

They had a "plethora" of help as they trimmed the hedges of many small villages.

That is a great flick, thanks for the chuckle. I needed it this morning.

Look closely. These are two different guys. "Skeletor" is the founder and President of Wagner Group. Named for the composer because he was Hitler's favorite. The Chain of Command goes from Putin to "The Chef" to this guy.

The second pic/montage is a Russian Army soldier in Ukrainian custody.

There are people who espouse Nazi ideology on both sides, everyone over there knows it, but the Russians love playing to the West's "Nazi" dog whistle. "These aren't your grand dad's Nazi's". More of the Russians are "Hitlerites" than the Ukrainians, for them it's more a Nationalistic thing with them as the focus, not the Germans, they fought with the Germans against the Russian Communists during WWII so there is that cultural sympathy, misplaced though it may be, and the anti-semitic aspects are much less emphasized, understandably since 40% of the Ukraine including the President, Zelensky is Jewish. Kind of hard to be walking around talking about kill all the Jews, although there are a few of these types to be found in the Azov. Guess who? "Foreign Volunteers". Real Neo Nazi's come from all over for the combat experience, been that way for years. Same thing happened in the former Yugoslavia during that war.

Communism and Nazism are the same thing in practice whatever their stated ideological differences are, that is because once the authoritarian control freak types get power, they are going to make you do whats good for you if you like it or not. Differences like everything supposedly being owned by the Workers and Peasants (State owned in practice) vs. the owners retaining ownership of factories and such ("we are not communists", LOL) but accepting Ruling Party "direction".........."So what", when political opponents are arrested or disappear........the left vs right thing is bullshit. A distraction.

You're going to have to deal with the fact that all these area's with "Russian speakers" are part of the geographical borders of the Ukraine that Russia agreed to when the Ukrainians (foolishly) gave up their nukes in 1991. Also with the fact that Putin published a paper years ago outlining exactly what he is doing now. And it reads a little differently from your understanding or the Russian line, both of which have a lot of overlap.

Man I don't trust our leadership either but that has nothing to do with who is putting civilians in mass graves.

It's amazing that you think this place is corrupt as fuck but think that the Russian puppet tossed out on his ass in 2013 was "duly elected". LOL. President of Belarus too. Ever since 1994. Always "duly elected". Come on man, you can't be that naive.....

Both have major issues AGREED both corrupt as fuck AGREED and as for the Globalist kick off, yeah but what's the response, don't oppose the slaughter? Because that's all I'm about, people invading other people get fucked up. SO FAR, that is all that is happening here but I am pessimistic, there is too much money in war and the re-alignment of power. I fully expect the Russians to use a small nuke to scare people off. They of course being Russians will claim it's a false flag. Evidence will be inconclusive since it will probably be a nuke where the isotopes can be shown to be Russian production, they can tell, when it was made, what plant/reactor it came from, etc.. But then, how could it be the Ukrainians when all their nukes were given back to Russia with that being verified by the West and the Russians themselves? Truth is, in the end it won't matter, they'll do it, tell their lies, and it won't matter if they are believed or not. And they know that.

No disrespect for any of our veterans , but I am with Lamont on this one. Still not sure why the media says Russia annexed Crimea, when they straight up took it by force 8 years ago. makes it sound so routine

In my quest to keep you fully informed, looks like the Admiral Makarov, a sparkly new frigate, had another one of those unexplained “Neptune” moments. Still afloat, but the fire’s not out and Russian damage control ranks right up there with, . . . well pick your meme.

Story here - with video:

A Russian wife turned to her husband and asked, "What's this special military operation our glorious leader keeps talking about?"

Her husband replied, "It's a proxy war between Russia and NATO."

"Oh, right. How's it going?"

"Well," he replied, "so far we've lost 24,000 soldiers, 2,000 tanks, 200 aircraft, numerous helicopters, loads of armored vehicles and artillery pieces along with our flagship."

"Wow! What about NATO?"

"They haven't turned up yet."
