Motorcycles....anybody else ever had that bug?

I had one BMW. It was a 89 K1, in Ferrari-red and Juicy-Fruit yellow. It was a beauty[4K miles].....but never had the factory "heat-kit" installed. The thing would literally cook your left leg. It was already nearly 10 years old, and the dealer wouldn't do the "recall" on it for the kit.
The dealer said they'd do the heat-kit/installed for 1100-bucks. I said...well, you know. I sold it with a new Luftmeister exhaust/uninstalled, and nos factory bags.

File pic, as all mine are old 35mm.

@MMissile probably saved my life :ROFLMAO:. Back in the late 80's, me and a buddy went down to see Bill at Macomb Cycle and put deposits down on Katana's. I think Mike told me I'd probably kill myself. I chickened out, er I mean, I decided I couldn't afford it ;)

I have to say that most of it came down to where we rode, skill-sets, and mostly situational awareness. I'm guessing I had 2-300K miles over the years. We lived to ride, during the 80's.

These were my last 4 bikes...all gone, now.
