My wallet is crying.....BPP 23EK is now mine!!

BPP HK23EK-pic rail on top, with an HK belt box and M249 nut sack adapter....$7,500 and under the understanding it was ready to run....well it didn’t run but I was into it good enough i could work on it or throw money at it to make it right.

Took the BPP HK23EK out yesterday to put it on paper to see how it shoots. Actually shoots pretty well but I had a feeding issue. Found that the plunger I made prematurely wore itself out as I made it out of a too soft material. I’ll try to get a new one made this weekend and heat treat it so it’ll hold up better. No harm, no foul.

Thanks for the report--- you'll get it right. ;)

Got out to the machine shop this afternoon and made a new feed mech guide/plunger. Made it .005 shorter, so as not to drag on the bottom of the bolt carrier as well as heat treated it. I hope to test it out tomorrow evening to see if it holds up. I’m hoping this does the trick, but I’m getting to be a pro at making these plungers lol

Ok I lied.....I said screw it and tried it in the back yard. Runs again! Looking at the wear mark on the new one I might need to make it a few .001 smaller in diameter but we will see how this one holds up over all

I won't tell you how much my RPD Postie cost to build.
and I don't have to pickup LINKS :)

Can’t run cloth belts in it BUT with the right modification you can run no disenigrating metal belts when using 308. I think they are the MG3 belts?

That is one reason I like my RPD over my 1919
Easier to load and no links to pick up

I run cloth belts in my 1919 as I hate loading the links AND picking them up.

I love my Digger but hate moving the tripod.....it’s only 51 pounds
