Welcome to the site!!!
You have a nice collection and the CC9, I think, is an awesome addition.
I have a P2000sk that is my main ccw, but I also carry a Kimber SS TLE whenever I can.
If I could get away with it, I would stick to the 1911.
It’s going to be a hard choice for you to make with a Wilson 1911 to any other gun.
Good look and Tag to see which one you like the best!

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on the newest acquisition. :)

Thanks to both of you. Now I need to find an H&K ball cap. I want one with a buckle strap in back and embrodered "HK". For some reason they are hard to find. I will mostly carry the 1911 until the warmer weather comes in the summer (this is Cheyenne) when the smaller CC9 will be the carry choice.

I just ordered a CC9 at my local gun shop and it should be available next week. My past H&K handguns were VP9 and a P30, both reliable pistols. My everyday carry will be my Wilson Combat .45 or the CC9.
Welcome!
Which model Wilson Combat is it?

ACPCP45 Compact 45 ACP, with 4 inch barrel , Black, 7 Rounds - 7+1 Rounds
I bought the ACP Compact in 9mm for my husband.
I really like the look and ergonomics. I thought it would be a more popular choice for Wilson Combat.
Good to meet someone who has one.
How do you rate the gun in the 45 acp caliber?
I almost bought the 45 because of being a "true" 1911 the caliber must be 45 acp, right?

I did have a WC full size in 9mm. I never carried it. I only used it at the range. Unfortunately I am a firearm degenerate. I decide I no longer want a gun I have and decide to buy another. It is an expensive habit. I have had many 1911s and have learned that I will never purchase any brand but a Wilson Combat. I will be happy to PM you the brands I have been disappointed in. The WC be it a 9mm or a .45ACP will not disappoint. I have no problem with a 9mm 1911 as they are certainly less expensive to shoot. As you said the .45ACP is the original caliber for a 1911 and I bought it because I have a few 9mm handguns and one 9mm carbine with 34 round magazines. It is illegal 15 miles south of my Cheyenne, WY home. Actually I would like to have a WC compact EDC X9S1911 in 9mm. However they are considerably more expensive at $2695 than the $600 H&K CC9 I purchased. I did trade my SIG Sauer P938 Legion even up for the H&K CC9 which I expect will be in stock any day this week. In fact, I did not have the P938 long and have two holsters listed for sale on the SIG Talk forum. As far as I'm concerned, Wilson Combat makes the best 1911s.

Thank you for that elaborate reply.
Incidentally, my husband also had his eyes on the WC EDC X9S but the ACP Compact was a better price for my purse.
He also has a P938 Legion and wished HK made a steel gun like that.
My wish , which I have bemoaned since the other HK website for those who remember me, would be a USP Compact steel frame, similar to the size of the ACP or the EDC.
The P938 Legion size was too snappy for my ladie's wrists. My husband actually found that snappy aspect made it easier for him to return to a shooting position.
Men and women do have different hand and wrist strength by far...in fact, one of the advantages of getting married for a woman is all the jars and champagne bottles I would have not been able to open without a husband.

Here is pic of the 1982 version of HK hat. I was not sure if I still had it.

I actually owned two P938s. The first was an early version that was scary because the ambi-safety would occasionally somehow snap off. In my hope to get a steel small 9mm I looked at the Legion model after SIG Sauer Customer Service assured me it shouldn't happen. I bought the Legion version and after a while of not snapping off, the ambi-safety would snap to the off position. I carry the WC 1911 during the cooler weather and soon (I expect the CC9 will be delivered to the LGS this week) I will have the CC9 for better concealment during warmer weather. Yes, a steel small 9mm is preferred over plastic, but I've come to the conclusion that H&K makes a superior plastic CC9 than SIG Sauer makes a steel ambi-safety P938. As of now I own zero SIG Sauer firearms. However I do own a SIG Sauer hat, but zero H&K hats. I have been looking for a buckle adjustment (not velcro or plastic snaps) with embroidered H&K. As for opening jars and champagne bottles, yes that is one of my jobs. I did find a tool on-line that helps my wife open jars and she stopped buying champagne for New Years Eve, so I guess I'm dispensable. 😦

I just picked up my new CC9 and it is better than I thought it would be. It has the green (olive drab) slide, which I might have preferred the black slide. However it is no big deal because if kept in the holster I have on order won't be seen ;)
